Mission Statement
The mission of the Multicultural Office is to recognize, celebrate, and support ministry efforts both for and with the many ethnic families within the diocese of St. Petersburg promoting the Church’s vision of one intercultural faith community.
The Multicultural Office serves parishes in the Diocese of St. Petersburg in the following manner:
- Facilitate and support the various cultural commissions
- Plan and implement cultural and multi-cultural celebrations and activities
- Facilitate the efforts and directives of the Round Table
- Support parish efforts to serve the many cultural families present
- Work with SEPI (South East Pastoral Institute) to promote lay formation for adults and youth in the Spanish speaking communities
- Support parish, cluster, and diocesan efforts to build one intercultural faith community
Misión:
La Misión de la oficina Multicultural es reconocer, celebrar y apoyar los esfuerzos de los ministerios para y con todas las diferentes familias étnicas dentro de la diócesis de St. Petersburg, promoviendo la visión de la Iglesia en una comunidad de fe intercultural.
La oficina Multicultural sirve a las parroquias de la Diócesis de St. Petersburg de la siguiente manera:
- Facilitar y apoyar las diferentes comisiones culturales
- Planificar y realizar actividades y celebraciones culturales y multiculturales
- Facilitar los esfuerzos y directivas de la Mesa Redonda Multicultural
- Apoyar los esfuerzos de las parroquias que sirven a las diferentes familias culturales
- Trabajar con el SEPI (Instituto Pastoral del Sureste) para promover formación laical para adultos y jóvenes en las comunidades de habla hispana
- Apoyar los esfuerzos de la parroquia, grupo y diócesis en construir una comunidad de fe intercultural.
